Trade Assistants - Carpentry

We, Sure People Solutions have an exciting opportunity for a Trade Assistant for one of our leading mobile camp clients in Bibra Lake. 

Designed and built by drilling and exploration professionals, our client provides expandable turnkey mobile accommodation and catering options to support some of our most remote and demanding industries.

About You

• Ability to adhere to safe work practices, policies and procedures
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be eligible to work in Australia
• Demonstrate a professional company & customer-focused attitude
• Attention to detail skills, with initiative!
• Eager to learn and get the job done
• Excellent organizational skills 

The Role

• Assist in the movement, loading, and unloading of materials via forklift
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
• Operating various hand tools and workshop equipment
• Attending workshop meetings and reporting to the supervisor. 
• Carry out general labour duties
• Perform welding operations using tig techniques to join metal components according to drawings and specifications
• Set up welding equipment and ensure they are in good working condition
• Monitor and control the welding process collaborate and work efficiently with team members

Requirements

• Relevant experience
• Forklift License (Preferred not a must)
• Construction Induction Card (White or Blue)
• C Class Manual Driver's License 
• Experience with Hand tools and welders
• 2x Reference Checks 
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test 

Desirable

• Cabinet-making or carpentry experience
• Fabrication experience
• Trade Assistant experience.
• Experience with sheet metal work, roll saws, and riveters
